The 40 km long Ahrntal valley is the most northerly valley of South Tyrol and is the home of the famous mountaineer, Hans Kammerlander.
This is no surprise, because the valley offers the best conditions for an active sportsman with its approximately 80 imposing peaks, 3,000 m high, and with a wonderful, unspoilt natural landscape, which is one of the most beautiful in Europe. It is an ideal place if you are looking for relaxation and enjoy nature. In winter both Klausberg and Speikboden, with guaranteed snow, offer skiing and winter fun.
This valley can be devided into two parts: from Brunico to Campo Tures (Valley di Tures) and from Campo Tures to the borders of Austria (Valley Aurina).
Towards Austria there is the Vedrette del Ries nature park, where you can find numerous hiking trails. Enjoy unique moments in the heart of nature, surrounded by the majestic mountain peaks of the Valle Aurina.
Furthermore there are several wellness and health centres in the Valle Aurina, perfect after an exhausting mountain tour! This is the right place for all those who love mountains and nature.
